Rhythm of Love

Narissa Bond

Acoustic Original Americana, Blues, Jazz with a touch of Country

You can hear her idols in her music, from Joni Mitchell’s finely crafted songs and from Tracy Chapman, a sharp rhythmic and melodic sense, but Narissa is her own woman. Her mother urged her to tell family stories. Narissa took that to heart -- “When I write, those voices come to me.”

My very FIRST full length recording is now available for download! Recorded in 1996, with the help of many good friends and fans. THANK YOU to JD Doyle and his radio program "Queer Music Heritage", for reconnecting me with this music. Special THANKS goes out to my late friends and songwriters Beth Scalet, who's harmonica performance appears on the title song, and Jeanne Jasperse, who sings background on "Waitress". I truly miss you ladies. A special THANK YOU goes out to songwriter Kathryn Lorenzen, who sings background vocals on "Just Enough to Get By", and donated studio time to the project, along with Beth Scalet. THANK YOU to Shay and many others, for pushing me to start this project, and Rose Jones for giving me the "Free Spirit" title. Last but not least, I would like to thank Connie for providing me with inspiration for many of these songs. © 1996 Narissa Bond Music BMI. All rights reserved.
